A Marion started showing when she was nine and started showing Beagles and Samoyeds before also getting her first show Papillon while still a teenager. Although well known for the Papillons, especially their Phalenes (drop-eared Papillons) in the the 1980s and 1990s Andrew and Marion are best known for their world-renowned Schnauzer kennel. They are particularly proud of their American exports including the Standard Schnauzers Am Ch Remporter Star At Always (#9 SS in the USA in 1999 SSCA breed pointscore), Am Ch Remporter A Starfyr Fox, Am Ch Remporter Starman CGC RN (Cadence) and NZ, Am and Can Ch Remporter Amstar OutfoxU (Roxy). Roxy's daughter Can Ch & Am Ch Wattsons Remporter Annastasia was winner's bitch at the American National Specialty. Whereas Cadence has graced many a Avonside and Browntrout published calendar. |

They have also bred
Tibetan Spaniels and Miniature Schnauzers. Along
the way they have owned three Giant Schnauzers, a Keeshond, a Maltese,
a Kerry Blue Terrier and three Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers. Their
children have shown Schipperkes, Bedlington Teriers and most recently a
Giant Schnauzer.
Andrew has judged in South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia, Tasmania and Queensland. He has also judged in the USA, over four visit he has judged at: Detroit (Michigan), Okaloosa and Panama City (both in Florida), in Leesburg (Virginia), Valpairaso(Indianna) and at the River City Cluster, San Antonio (Texas). He has judged in Ontario, Canada; the UK; Switzerland; twice in Ireland; and five times in New Zealand. While overseas, Andrew has judged at the American Standard Schnauzer National Specialty, the Canadian Standard Schnauzer National Specialty, the Giant Schnauzer Club of Canada Eastern Regional, Northern Schnauzer Club (Great Britain) and the Texas Chihuahua Club Regional Specialty. In Australia he hs judged at many specialty shows incluing the Schnauzer Club of South Australia, the Papillon Club of NSW and the Samoyed Club of South Australia all at championship show level. Future appointments include judging in the USA in September 2011. Andrew is also licenced to judge the three test levels of herding Trials and is a trainee judge for the Gundog breeds. Andrew is a member of the Committee of the Sporting Dog Club of SA, the Standard Schnauzer Club of SA, the Schnauzer Club of SA and the Dogs SA Herding Advisory Council. He was previously an elected member of the Council that manages DogsSA and chaired its legal committee. He has previously been a member of the DogsSA Judges Training Panel and is a lecturer on breed judging for the Schnauzers and a range of Terrier breeds to trainee judges in South Australia. |

Marion is licensed to
judge the three Schnauzer breeds and has judged
in South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, in the USA and in
Canada.
Both Andrew and Marion have had many articles on their breed published
and have contributed to several Schnauzer books by other authors.
Andrew is licensed by the Australian National Kennel
Control to judge
all breeds in Groups 1 (Toys), 2 (Terriers), 6 (Utility) and 7
(Non-sporting). He is also licensed to judge the Komondors from Group 5
(Working Dogs) and Lagotto Romagnolo (Gundogs). |
